Have you ever tried on an article of clothing that just felt so right you had to get it...in 2 different colors? That is exactly how I felt when I tried on the Babaton ribbed, Arjun tank at Aritzia. It fit me perfectly, providing adequate support in the bust and a slimming shape on my frame. I FaceTimed my Mom in the dressing room to show her how amazing this top is. It was truly love at first sight.

I'd had my eye on this tank since the beginning of the year and now that I have it, I ain't never letting go. I think I've worn it a total of 5 times in the span of 2 weeks now which is a little excessive but I don't even care. Will I go back and get another color? Probably. Do I have a shopping problem? Yes, but didn't we already know that? Moving on.

This is an extremely simple look to create and its components have served as the main pieces of my go-to summer uniform: denim bottoms, a statement top and comfortable sneakers. This summer, I'm all about low maintenance looks that can be accessorized with statement jewelry.

I paired my Babaton top with my favorite wide leg jeans from Madewell, Adidas Stan Smiths and a Michael Kors crossbody chain bag. I kept jewelry simple with small, gold hoop earrings, my mixed metal Fossil watch and my nameplate necklace.

I've been trying to play with adding more color into my wardrobe since it is officially summer. I've been enjoying paring seemingly contrasting colors together to create fun and unexpected summery looks. Do I still wear the occasional black dress? Oh absolutely. But I'm trying guys. That's what matters.

I hope that you all enjoyed this post and maybe even got some inspiration for your own summer wardrobe. Stay tuned for more easy summer looks and feel free to leave requests for how to style summer staples. Stay cool :)

P.S. I named this post after one of my favorite songs by Lianne La Havas. Go take a listen :)
