Feast on This: Three Looks for Thanksgiving

I can't begin to tell you how hype I am for Thanksgiving this year. Aside from the delicious food (mashed potatoes=life), I am really excited to spend time with my family and try out some new holiday trends that I've been seeing on Pinterest. (Definitely follow me if you don't already. I've been pinning like crazy!)

Thanksgiving dinner is a tough occasion to dress for. Go too formal, and it's impossible to eat all you want without having a food-baby ruin your look. Dressing too casual is not an option according to your mother. Wearing your trusty body-con dress will probably earn you some disapproving stares from your older relatives. Finding the perfect balance of laid-back, dressy and family appropriate attire seems damn near impossible, but it can be done! To help ya'll out, I've put together 3 outfits that will cover all the bases for any kind of Thanksgiving dinner: a casual gathering, dressy dinner and formal party. Happy feasting!
1. Casual Gathering

This look is perfect for spending time playing with little cousins, dominating in the family football match or in my case, eating until you can't possibly fit another thing...Wait, is that pie? You can easily slip off the belt when the food baby is starting to show ;)Denim Dress: J.Crew   Sweater Vest: Gentle Fawn    Boots: Luichiny   Belt: American Eagle
2. Dressy Dinner

You don't need to give up comfort for a dressy ensemble. This sweater is super cozy and easily dressed up with the mini skirt and statement necklace. Also, the pops of mint and emerald green are an unexpected twist for holiday look. How festive ;)Sweater: J.Crew     Suede Skirt: Forever 21     Booties: Bandolino     Necklace: J.Crew3. Formal Party

If your family likes to get fancy for Turkey day, this is the outfit for you. Dresses are not your only option for formal attire; these pants are perfectly acceptable. The socks add a quirky touch to the look that I absolutely love! Who says you can't wear socks with sandals!? I know that a crop top is the last thing you'd think of wearing for a night of nonstop eating, but the flashy metallic print will totally distract from your tummy...I think.
