The Weekend Run-Down: December 4th-6th
Hello everyone! Today I am excited to introduce a new series on my blog called the weekend run-down! I thought it might be fun to tell you what I get up to on my off days and of course, what I'm wearing :) I always seem to be discovering new and interesting things during my free time, so I've decided to share these things with you all by compiling a little list of weekend favorites at the end of the post. Enjoy!
Let's start with Friday night! I had a dance performance at a local art gallery where I performed 2 contemporary pieces. To the gallery, I wore my favorite high-waisted black skinnies from Brandy with my Cole Haan oxfords and a chic sweater from Target. The outfit looked a little something like this:
Fast forward to Saturday night at a swanky neighborhood restaurant for my Dad's birthday dinner. I wore an amazing maxi dress by Karen Zambos from my favorite local boutique, Modern Nostalgia. I completed the look with minimal jewelry, black heeled booties and a shawl courtesy of mi madre. Is it just me, or do all moms have accessories that are 10 times cuter than your own?
Sunday was a day of shopping (surprise, surprise) but, I swear I did not buy a single article of clothing. I did however get a Christmas tree that I will go downstairs to decorate as soon as I'm done with this post! I wore a comfy-chic outfit for my morning of running errands with my mother, sporting my favorite BCBG leather jacket. The flare jeans are from Gap and the sweatshirt is from Brandy.
Okay now for some weekend favorites!
1. I was really feeling my Cole Haan oxfords that I wore on Friday! I will definitely be wearing them more often.
2. I am borderline obsessed with Pentatonix and both their Christmas and debut album. Can't Sleep Love has been on repeat since Friday!
3. More music faves! Troye Sivan's three part music video Blue Neighborhood and its accompanying album (also called Blue Neighborhood) has got me feeling some type of way. Seriously, check it out right now and prepare to cry.
4. I used Revlon's 24 Hour Colorstay foundation for my performance and Saturday night dinner. The formula provides a smooth and flawless finish and is by far the best drugstore foundation I have used!
5. My final favorite is the dinner and dessert I had on Saturday night. My braised short ribs for dinner and eggnog creme brulee for dessert were to.die.for.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! Keep reading and checking back! XOXO- Pointe Shoes and Prada
