It seems like things have been happening so quickly. I look back at these past few months and feel as though I've been moving at warp-speed. I'm almost done with my first year of college which is something that I absolutely can't wrap my head around. It's been a wild learning experience, to say the least. Hopefully, things will settle down a bit come summer time so that I can really dedicate some time to this blog. This post is titled "New New" because I'm going to share a collection of photos featuring new things: experiences, clothing items, places, etc. There have been so many firsts and new things entering my life, I felt that dedicating a post to them was only fitting. Each of these outfits features new items that I've recently added to my wardrobe as well as some old favorites.

Jeans: American Apparel Top: NYC Boutique Shoes: Adidas Stan Smiths Sunglasses: Banana RepublicThis photo was taken the first time I visited my favorite place in the entire city: Washington Square Park. There is no place I love more. I go just to watch the sunset every chance I get. There's a running joke that I literally live there. This look is cool because it's so simple and effortlessly cool. The jeans were a steal since AA is going out of business and I got the sneakers on sale from UO. Altogether, the entire outfit is under $150.

Jeans: Madewell Boots: Doc Martens Jacket: BCBG Generation Sunglasses: F 21This photo was taken after I'd just gotten my hair buzzed. My best friend Skylar was visiting for the weekend and we ventured to Nolita for some brunch.Cutting my hair was liberating- I never thought that I could rock a short haircut but I'm absolutely loving the simplicity and versatility of the style. The jeans that I'm wearing are undoubtedly one of my favorite denim pieces. I got them from Madewell last year while visiting Pittsburgh. They are the most comfortable pair of jeans ever and the wide leg and raw hem elements are right on trend. They're definitely a statement piece but super wearable. Paired with the leather jacket, the look is both trendy and chill- like you know you're fashionable but didn't even try. That's my favorite kind of look.

Jeans: Brandy Melville Sweatshirt: Modern Nostalgia Jacket: BCBG Generation Socks: J. CrewThis photo was taken while en route to Greenwich Village. It was a rainy and cold day so layering was key. I pulled inspiration from an outfit that Kendall J wore back in December that I'd pinned to a Pinterest board. Pinterest is perfect for spontaneous outfit inspo- I highly recommend it. It challenges you to think about your everyday looks differently and provides you with ideas on how to elevate your street style. Follow me on there @morganification!

Jeans: American Apparel Top: Aritzia Jacket: BCBG Generation Shoes: Nike AF1'sThis outfit is one of my favorites. I got the fitted, off-the-shoulder top from Aritzia for my 19th birthday. It has the most beautiful shape and fits me so perfectly; I'm definitely going to wear it to death this summer. I tucked it into the AA mom jeans for a casual look and threw on my trusty leather jacket over top. This outfit is dope because the top provides a polished element while the white sneaks, jeans and backpack keep the overall look casual.

Dress: BCBG Max Azria Shoes: Forever 21For my final outfit, both of my pieces were picked up at the Galleria Mall in Buffalo aka my old stomping grounds. It's always fun to go home and shop in the mall you grew up at...I realize that this is probably only true if you're a shopaholic. lol.I got both items on sale and wore the look out to a family dinner. This dress and shoe combination is great because it's a classic LBD ensemble with a twist. The contrast of textures (the leather of the dress and suede of the shoes) and the silver hardware make for a saucy take on a classic formula of a black mini with heels. Also, the look gives me major legs which I always enjoy.
I really hope you guys liked this! Keep checking back for more content coming soon. I'll be coming home from the city soon (booooo) but I'll have more time to blog (yayyyyy). Thanks for sticking with me as I try to successfully navigate the blogosphere. I think I'm getting the hang of it now :) Much love,Morgan
