Denim Made Me Do It
In creating this post, I've come to the realization that my denim collection includes every style of blue jean conceivable to man. I never need to buy another pair of jeans in my lifetime. Period. The reason that I have so many pairs of jeans (other than the fact that I am a denim addict/hoarder) is that they're so versatile. They can be dressed up or down, worn with anything from your most athletic sneakers to your trendiest heels and come in endless styles and fits to choose from.

Jeans | Carmar Denim
Comfortable and on-trend, a straight leg jean can look cool and casual or elevated and polished depending on how you style them. Fit Tip: Go up a size for a more relaxed look.

The 70's are back. A pair of flare jeans is a fun way to incorporate a different silhouette into your denim repertoire.
Fit Tip: A good flare is fitted through the waist and thigh and should begin to flare at the calf to give your leg the longest line.

High-Waisted Jeans | Abercrombie and Fitch
The best friend to your tiniest crop-tops and the simple trick to making your legs look miles long, a high-waisted jean is a closet essential. As someone with a long torso, denim that is truly high-waisted is hard to come by, but once you find a pair that suits you, they'll be one of your most worn items.

Mom Jeans | Dolce and Gabanna (Thrifted)
I found these while thrifting at Buffalo Exchange in San Francisco. While I had to make some minor alterations after breaking the zipper, this is still one of my favorite thrift-store finds.
Fit Tip: A well-fitting Mom jean should hug your bum just right, giving you some lift and ample support.

Wide-Leg Jeans | Madewell
I don't like to pick favorites, but these might be it. Chic and trendy, these jeans elevate simple looks and are a great introduction to playing with proportion. All you need is a white tee and a sneaker and voila; you're rocking a popular street style trend.
Fit Tip: It is a total myth that shorter people can't wear wide leg pants! A quick hemming job will allow those who are more petite to enjoy the wonders of a denim culotte without shortening the line of the leg.

Girlfriend Jeans | Gap
Who needs a boyfriend when you've got girlfriends? A girlfriend jean is the slimmer, more fitted version of a boyfriend jean. With a little give in the seat and a slim fit through the leg, these jeans are perfect for creating a boyish silhouette without compromising a good fit.
Fit Tip: Make sure that the fit is slim through the thigh just enough to provide shape and still be comfortable.
Skinny

Skinny Jeans | J.Crew
While many have traded in their skinnies for a more relaxed fit, these will always hold a special place in my heart. Get yourself a stretchy pair to be your legging alternative.
Fit Tip: I find skinny jeans to be most flattering if they are slightly high waisted and cropped at the ankle.
