The Chi Town Edit: End of Summer Looks

If you’re following me on IG, you’d know that there’s been a little change in scenery these past few months. In late August, I accepted a contract with a repertory company and moved out West to Chicago. The process happened quickly; I signed the contract and the lease on my first apartment in the same week. It was an absolute whirlwind but I’m so glad I took the opportunity.

Now that I’m settled and have established a routine, I’m ready to get back to blogging. This new city has been offering me all the inspiration I need to create new experiences, conjure new perspectives and of course, style new looks. I’ve complied some end-of summer looks that I wore in late August and early September for your viewing pleasure. Some of these looks may stay be wearable depending where you are in the world. The weather in Chicago this week fluctuated from the low-fifties to the seventies; the remnants of a beautifully temperate summer saying their last goodbye

These looks can easily lend themselves to autumnal style by substituting your favorite fall jeans for the denim shorts and adding a leather or denim jacket for warmth. A blazer would also look excellent with many of these looks, adding a subtle sophistication. Extra points if you go crazy with a wide brim, felt hat.

I hope these looks provided you with some early fall inspiration. Most of these outfits are comprised of basics that you may already have in you wardrobe, making them easy to riff on and recreate.
